Bin collection
Grey bins are collected every other Monday on non-recycling Mondays (which don't have an "R" beside them in the Calendar).
Blue bins, brown bins, & blue bags are collected every alternate Monday. The Recycling Mondays are shown in the Calendar by an "R" next to the relevant date.

Older peoples activities
The Uttoxeter Forum 50+ is run by the 50+ population for the 50+ population. Its aims include:
- Ensuring that the voices of Older People are heard more effectively
- Providing older people with more opportunities to take part in public life
- Campaigning for better public services for older people
- Publicising the contribution that older people make to the community
- Promoting the image of older people to a higher and more positive profile

The Second Half Activity Programme is organised by East Staffordshire Borough Council for people over the age of 50. It aims to provide a range of interesting sessions, which people may be inspired to further in their own time. Activities are normally organised over three, 10 week terms (like school terms). Parish Council
Uttoxeter Rural Parish Council meets every month, other than January and August, at Wilfred House, Carter Street, Utoxeter. The meetings take place at 7.30pm on the first Tuesday of each month.

- Blue Bin - All types of Glass, other than broken glass; Steel and Aluminium Cans, Aerosols, Foil food trays; Most domestic and garden Plastics.
- Brown Bin - Organic waste including non-woody Garden waste; real Christmas trees; Food and Beverage waste; Herbivore bedding.
- Blue Bag - Newspapers, Magazines, all Directories, Catalogues, white Paper and Envelopes, flattened Cardboard, including Thicker Paper, but NOT Waxed Paper Cartons (Tetrapacks)..
- Black Bin - Anything which doesn't fit the above, BUT NOT any of the above.
- The Recycling Mondays are shown in the Calendar by an "R" next to the relevant date.
- Black Bins will only be collected every other Monday on alternate weeks to the Recycling Friday.
- Permanent recycling facilities are available at the Civic Amenity site (see above for address) or at the Tesco store at Brookside Road, Uttoxeter.
- Larger green waste, cardboard, metal, wood, paint cans, oil, batteries, electrical goods, "tetrapack" cartons, clothes and shoes can be recycled at the Civic Amenity site.
- Bottles, cans, plastic bottles and serviceable clothes and shoes can be re-cycled at Tesco's car park.
